Design Thinking Can Be Used In A Webtool

Design Thinking can be used as a web tool as well. This a lesson that can be used for any subject area. I particularly prefer to use this web tool for Math Lessons.

Empathize
The audience I am targeting is middle and high school students. Students will be able to work inside the classroom and continue at home saving their URL in their email address. Students will be able to think about what would be the simplest video or images to use. Students will be able to see what they are doing and how they can learn from this lesson. I would like for  them to create a lesson using different math technique they may not understand to create their own lesson. I feel if they take the time out to create their own lesson they would understand the lesson being taught.
Define
The strategy is a great way to keep student interested in learning new math concepts and mix with old concepts. Students will be able to learn from each other and discuss the different techniques used in each project. They have to use a computer and they can move at their own pace because once they start to understand the lesson if will become easier to them.
Ideate
This can be a group or individual project, which can help the students, come up with different way to incorporate different videos, images, Voice Threads, practice worksheets and notes to understand the concept of creating their own math lesson.

Prototype
I would show an example on how they can build their lesson using the web tool call edu.glogster.
This web tool includes:

1. Videos
2. Notes
3. Worksheet
4. Do Now Questions
5. Examples of answers equations
6. Students also learn how to use the technology offered to complete
    this project.

Test
Students are going to use anther student lesson to demonstrate what they have learned. They will be giving different equations to see if they would be able to solve them with the lessons other students have created.
Conclusion
We as a team will create a Blog with all our lessons put together for other students to experience them.  When students are able to work freely on a project and use their brains they would then enjoy it. We have so many student who aren’t strong in math and this is great way to introduce some new ways to approach math with technology. Students are able to design their web tool to fit them and they will feel very appreciated. Math is a very hard subject to teach, especially if your dealing with student who aren't strong in this subject area.
After designing different lessons which may include:
1.     Exponents
2.     Factoring Polynomials
3.     Solving Equations
4.     Solving Inequalities
5.     Radicals
